Liberti Combined Service 2016

Being together for our combined service is always a reminder of how much work God is doing in and through the lives of the men and women who make up the churches of the Liberti Network. As we roll into February, here are a few key updates and ways you can be praying for and with our churches:

-Easter Outreach 2016 officially launched at the combined service. Visit easteroutreach.org to learn more and to get involved in this year’s outreach.

-Liberti’s first church replant, Liberti Newtown Square, continues to see new visitors from the nearby neighborhoods. Pray for pastor Tom Hudzina and for continued energy and unity in the church.

Liberti Harrisburg is re-launching a search for a new location in 2016. Pray that they’d find a space to accommodate their growing nursery and kids ministries and land in a more permanent location from which they’ll be able to serve their neighborhoods well.

Liberti Mt. Airy hosted their first in-covenant class a couple weeks ago – pray for the men and women who make up the committed core of this new plant, and that God would add to their number. Liberti Mt. Airy has also been blessed with the opportunity to serve locally with two great organizations: Blair Christian Academy and the Whosoever Gospel Mission.

2200 Arch Counseling Services is excited to announce an upcoming event this April 22: “The Soul of Shame: Retelling the Stories We Believe About Ourselves” with Dr. Curt Thompson. Registration.Email  counseling@2200archcs.org or call 267-322-6797 for info.

Liberti Center City and Main Line are in the process of launching the “For the City Collaborative” – a separate 501c3 to run some existing ministries (like the Easter Outreach) as well as encourage new mercy ministry and generosity startups in the city of Philadelphia and the Philly metro area. To learn more contact Ken Fox at ken@liberti.org

-The pastoral staff of Liberti Fairmount was blessed to gather for prayer with 20 other pastors from Fairmount and surrounding neighborhoods on January 20. Pray God would continue to tear down dividing walls of hostility – racial walls, socio-economic walls, etc. – that have existed in these neighborhoods for generations.

Liberti Collingwood celebrated its 3rd Christmas Eve service at the end of December and has been encouraged to baptize a number of infants in their community. Pray as they continue to develop and grow as a congregation.

Liberti East is hosting a fundraiser for an international student as she continues to pursue her bachelors in Philadelphia. The event is a women’s clothing swap, Swap, Don’t Shop!. Donate your light used clothes to Liberti East and we hope to see you on Saturday February 27th between 5-8pm to find your next favorite outfit!

As you can see, there’s a lot going on these days in the life of Liberti Churches. We’re grateful for the privilege, and we invite you to join us in our pursuit to live, speak and serve as the very presence of Jesus in our neighborhoods.
